Rachel serves as president of the NIU College of Law Alumni Council. She is a very engaged alum who mentors students, helps with fundraising, and offers guidance to the law school. In 2011, she received the Mentor of the Year Award.
Known for promoting litigation alternatives in family-related legal disputes, Rachel is a collaborative family lawyer & the founder of Bruckner Hernandez Legal Solutions, LLC, a collaborative law & family law firm with offices in St. Charles & Sycamore, Illinois. The firm helps families resolve legal issues without going to court, whether it be through mediation, collaborative process, uncontested divorce, pre-divorce legal counseling, or limited scope representation.

NIU College of Law is a close-knit community that fosters dreams. Support and resources have been available to me through NIU every step of the way, through my education, licensure and professional journey. I am grateful to have the opportunity to give back.
