Hanoch Kanhai-Zamora (’17) Wins ISBA Public Service Award

Graduating third-year law student Hanoch Kanhai-Zamora has received the 2016-2017 Law Student Division Public Service Award from the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) Young Lawyers Division.

According to the ISBA, “This award is given annually to a law student participating in activities that enhance professional responsibility and provide service to the public. The award is based on extracurricular accomplishments and service-related activities during the law school career.”

Mr. Kanhai-Zamora was presented with his award at the ISBA Young Lawyers Division meeting on Friday, June 16th at the Abbey Resort in Fontana, WI.

Previous NIU College of Law alumni winners of this award include Ryan Dowd (’02), Meg Hogan (’13) and Kaitlin Barclay (’14).
