The tragic shooting of alumna Stacia Hollinshead, class of 2018, this past week has impacted many of us. Not only does her death demonstrate the very real problem of domestic violence in this country, but it hits very close to home. Stacia was an important part of the College of Law community, a dear friend to many, and a young attorney with enormous potential. The senseless taking of her life leaves many of us stunned.
In order to remember Stacia, and to help with our own healing process, the College of Law will hold a memorial service for Stacia on Thursday, April 11, at 5:00 p.m. in the Thurgood Marshall Gallery of the law school. This will be a time to recognize Stacia’s life and share memories. Students, staff, faculty, alumni, and the broader community are welcome to attend.
