Professor Stange’s Article Reflects on Voting Rights of Legal Writing Faculty

Professor Meredith StangeMeredith Stange was published in the Journal of the Legal Writing Institute (Volume 24). In her essay, Voting Like a Duck: Reflecting on a Year of Legal Writing Voting Rights, Professor Stange reflects on experiences during the first year that Legal Writing faculty members had faculty voting rights.  The essay addresses the unexpected benefits and consequences of finally having the ability to vote on matters that impact law school governance.

Professor Stange is the director of the Legal Writing Program where she teaches legal writing and advocacy. She is also a coordinator for the first-year Academic Success Program. Prior to joining NIU Law, Stange was a litigation associate with Hinshaw & Culbertson in Rockford, Illinois, practicing in the area of medical malpractice and insurance defense. She is a member of the Legal Writing Institute and a graduate of Boston College Law School.
