Professor Therese A. Clarke Arado is the incoming chair of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) Law Library Journal Article of the year Jury. This group reviews all of the articles submitted to the journal each year and identifies the article to receive the Article of the Year award. She is also the Editor of the Mid-America Association of Law Libraries (MAALL) quarterly newsletter called MAALL Markings. MAALL is an organization consisting of law librarians from court, firm, and academic libraries across thirteen states in middle-America. MAALL Markings provides updates from the members, articles on timely library, research, and legal issues, and is a way for members of the profession to connect throughout the year.
Professor Clarke Arado joined the law library faculty in 2000 and currently serves as Acting Director of the Law Library. She provides legal reference assistance to faculty, students and other library users. Additionally, she teaches legal research and supports law faculty and students in their use of instructional technology. She has worked as a reference librarian in both law school and law firm settings. She is a member of the American Association of Law Libraries, the Mid-America Association of Law Libraries and serves on various committees within the Chicago Association of Law Libraries. She has presented and prepared materials for the American Association of Law Libraries Annual Meeting. She is admitted to the Illinois Bar.
