David Gallagher (’07) was selected as one of the 2021 Chicago Daily Law Bulletin & Chicago Lawyer’s 40 Under Forty Attorney. The honor recognizes the most talented young attorneys practicing in Illinois. He was selected from a competitive field of 1,500 nominations and is considered to be among a group of up-and-coming Illinois attorneys to watch.
David is a plaintiff’s personal injury attorney who joined Motherway & Napleton in 2018 after spending the first eleven years of his career at another Chicago Plaintiff’s personal injury firm where he served as the head of the medical malpractice division.
David has been recognized as an Emerging Lawyer by the Law Bulletin Publishing Company for the years 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. This distinction recognizes him as being amongst the top two percent of lawyers who are age 40 or younger practicing in the field of Personal Injury Law.
As an experienced trial attorney, with over 50 jury trials to verdict, David’s many successes have been published by The Illinois Jury Verdict Reporter and the Illinois Settlement Reporter. He was the lead trial attorney on a medical malpractice case involving a 17-year-old heart patient that died as a result of medical malpractice. He obtained a $7,000,000.00 settlement on behalf of the estate on the second day of trial.
David is a proud member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.
