Jill Konen (’02) Sworn-In as Associate Judge

Judge Jill K. Konen (’02) is sworn-in by Chief Judge Bradley J. Waller (’88).

The Honorable Jill K. Konen (’02) was sworn-in as an associate judge in the 23rd Judicial Circuit on September 23, 2022 at the DeKalb County Courthouse.

Judge Konen was appointed an associate judge on August 15, 2022 and is presently presiding over traffic, misdemeanor, DUI, and small claims cases.  She began her law career in Yorkville, Illinois with the Law Office of Daniel J. Kramer.  She eventually started her solo practice in Sycamore, Illinois in 2006 where she focused her practice on family issues for the past eight years.  Prior to that, Judge Konen practiced in the area of family law, criminal law, DUI/traffic law, and abuse and neglect law.  Judge Konen also worked as counsel for CASA of DeKalb County for two years, from Fall of 2020 until Summer of 2022.  Judge Konen received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Toledo, her Master’s Degree from Iowa State University, and Juris Doctor from Northern Illinois University College of Law.
